In Fayetteville Arkansas a young woman named Maya Salameh has just been awarded a big award for her poem how to How to Make an Algorithm in the Microwave. She has will now receive $1,000 in a cash prize, as well as getting her manuscript published.
Her poem was entered in the 2022 Etel Adnan Poetry contest sponsored by the University of Arkansas.
Maya says that she was “delighted” with the big win. And she says that “an honor to join such a family of books” that will now include her manuscript.
